Ukulele

The Bairn announced, out of the blue, that she would love to have a guitar.  She's too small for one, of course, but she's about the right size for a ukulele, so I ordered one from Amazon - £13.95, plus another tenner or so for books.  It'll want tuning, of course, which is where this page comes in handy.

  1. beware... cheap ukes can be a MOTHER to keep in tune..tho you may be lucky. I have a baritone and a soprano which are very good but I did spend about 150£ on each.

if you go to chordie.com there is a little button on the right which transposes chord shapes to uke of your (or her) favourite songs.

  2. Fucken aye, nice one.

According to one of the numpties on Amazon's "customer reviews", they're good-enough for the money, (especially as its going to be played mostly by a four year old), but the won't keep their tune, so I'll get some better strings.
