she's_a_sprite was flummoxed by the concept of leeks. Do they call them something else in America?

  2. I asked my all knowing roomie, and he said that we have them here, they are just not very common. He said they are similar to an onion, and are good in soup... thanks for the lovely pic!

    I have a terribly black thumb, I fear I'd have killed them by now.
