I woke up with this on my mind at 5.30AM. The danger is, as one student commented (on the Wiki, as it happens) that we are spending too much time with this. Now that it's up and running, and all of the students can at least participate, and begin to feel a sense of ownership.
It could have been done much more quickly if this hadn't been on-the-fly. The big lesson I've learned is not to make any assumptions whatsoever about learners' IT abilities. And stage it all very carefully and slowly, in ten or fifteen minute chunks, with constant stops and concept checks an all the rest of it. IOW, you want a bloody good lesson plan.
