Readability
First I got a Kinja card. And that led me on to this, which is great fun. I'm a bit sceptical that readability can be ascertained by means of the algorithms they give.
But if they are right, then small children and thick people would be scoobied if they tried to read Pig Sty Avenue.
I can live with that.

I had a go at that readability score thing with my blog. I got very much the same score as you did. What's wrong with long words that's what I want to know.
ReplyDeleteMine came up as academic paper standard - a pretty crappy academic paper, if you ask me ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, that's the three of us then.
ReplyDeleteI'm even more sceptical about readability algorithms now.
I wonder how a good but intelligent writer would score - Sebastian Faulks , say. And would a more popular writer score more - Dan Brown, maybe?
