Below, a list of pond plants from wildlifetrusts.org, (link goes to a pdf, and, just saying, it wanted proofing). Look at the names! Hornwort, Bladderwort, Stinking Iris, Lady's Smock, Bungle, Creeping Jenny... Like a window onto the Middle Ages.
