Chickens?




Over the winter, the allotmenteer's mind naturally turns to spring. We're thinking of getting some hens. Apart from the eggs, hens are great at keeping down nasties. The garden's now wick with leather jackets, for example. The idea is to let a couple of hens peck around your feet whilst your digging. Or, if you've got a pest ridden bit of ground, put their run there for a while.
